Most argumentative essay topics usually revolve around just how much the youth are into technology. College students form quite a bulk of this percentage. Statistically, it is almost an assumed fact that the majority of those students who attended college, graduate schools or even four year schools, were very much attached to the internet than any other fraction of the population. It is a staggering reality and statistic, that has ensured quite a large percentage of the people aged between 18 and 24 years, are the main drivers of internet traffic.

The Connection. The use of the internet can be divided into categories; general internet usage, home broadband access, and wireless internet access. All of these have their respective chunks of usage among this particular group. The general internet access is ruled by youngsters, or young adults. They literally dwarf the percentage of the adult population that does. Only approximately 8% of 18-24 year old young stars who do not attend college, do not access the internet. Virtually 100% of community college students, undergraduates and graduates have full access to the internet, with their percentage differences being extremely marginal for distinct documentation.

The differences now begin when it comes to the use of home broadband access. Here, when it comes to the undergraduate students, only 1 in 10 doesn’t use the home broadband, this means that about 95% of them use it. The statistic is almost similar when it comes to the graduate students, with their figure standing at 93% home broadband usage. This figure bellies that of the national adult average, which is just over 66%.This is quite a staggering difference. When it comes to community college students, the figure stands at around 78%.For the non students aged between the years 18 to 24, the percentage clocks 82%.As it can be seen, their respective percentages lays between those of the graduates and undergraduates, and the adults.
THE statistics remain almost the same when it comes to the use of wireless connections to access the internet. Here, the young non students are the least likely to use this method, when it comes to their comparisons with the other categories of the youth. However, they are still much frequent users than the adult population. One of the main reasons as to why this is so, is because of the degree of laptop ownership among these categories. The main criteria of analyzing and assessing the use of wireless networks among the population ,during a research, is through the use of simple questions, where respondents are asked whether they use wireless connectivity cards on their respective machines.

Most of the individuals accessing the internet usually do so in order to visit social networking sites, such as Facebook and Twitter. It is one of the driving factors of the large percentage of the young people accessing, or needing to access the internet. However, the young non schooling population just edges the schooling population of young adults visiting these social networking sites.

The different can be traced down to one thing; the ownership of gadgets among the youth. Most of the college students usually access the wireless internet through either their laptops, or phones. They edge the rest of the population when it comes to the use of mobile phones to access the internet. When analyzed in general, it can easily be noted that the majority of the population that forms the youth, accesses the internet more, and especially through mobile phones.
